Dragon Boat Festival,also known as Duanwu Jie (Start-of the-Fifth-Solar-Month Festival)
or Dumpling Festival or Double Fifth Festival,is celebrated with dragon boat races and zonogzi.
It is one of the four top traditional Chinese festivals,along with the Spring Festival,
Tomb-Sweeping Day,and Mid-Autumn Festival.
In addition to China,many other Asian countries also celebrate this festival. In Malaysia,
Indonesia,Singaporeand Taiwan,it is known as Bak Chang Festival (‘Dumpling Festival').
From 3rd to 5th June is the public holiday in China due to Dragon Boat Festival.
The Dragon Boat Festival,the 5th day of the 5th month in the Chinese lunar calendar. has had
a history of more than 2,000years. It is usually in June in the Solar calendar.
